Our Program

“You however continue in the things you have learned and have become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” II Tim. 3:14-17

True life transformation can only occur through nurturing life-on-life relationships

A person’s character and personality (who they are) are largely shaped within their first 10 years of life.

The information presented highlights the importance of creating educational institutions that prioritize the well-being of vulnerable children. By acknowledging each child as a unique and valuable individual, and working in partnership with parents and guardians, these institutions can foster positive character development and personal growth. Encouraging creative expression and talent development can also contribute to a well-rounded educational experience. Ultimately, these institutions can serve as exemplars for others seeking to create similar environments.

Uganda is a country facing many challenges, including poverty and a rapidly growing population. The education system is also struggling, with overcrowded classrooms and a focus on rote learning.  Despite these challenges, there are opportunities to improve the education system and provide a better future for Uganda's young people.

Education in Uganda faces significant challenges, with limited extracurricular activities and a primary focus on standardized testing.  Unfortunately, many teenage females have been unable to return to school due to work, pregnancy, and child marriage. These challenges highlight the need for continued efforts to improve education in Uganda and support marginalized communities.

CHALLENGE

Excellent Christian schools focused on the biblical transformation of children’s hearts and minds within a safe, nurturing environment. Our team came to Uganda in 2014 in response to an appeal from a large ministry to serve vulnerable children and initiate generational transformation. Three years later, they launched a classical Christian secondary boarding school that has since become a model secondary school for much of Uganda.  The team developed that school on three core values: strong academics, servant leadership, and nurturing relationships. Combining those pillars with a classical education, biblical discipleship, a safe and healthy environment, and a strong partnership with the home leads to what the Apostle Paul calls “transformation by the renewing of the mind.”

SOLUTION

The Association of Christian Schools (ACSI) Uganda has recently been asked by the Church of Uganda (which oversees over 6000 nursery, primary, and secondary Ugandan schools as well as several teacher training colleges) and a number of other schools to provide administrator/teacher training, curriculum development, biblical integration, and discipleship instruction to all their staff and schools. Our team has been asked by ACSI Uganda to help lead this effort. This allows the team to apply the same classical Christian philosophy/model used at The American School of Lyon (France), Caldwell Academy (NC), and The Amazima School (Uganda) to introduce thousands of Ugandan educators and millions of students to Jesus Christ and give them the tools to become the men and women they are created to be.
